Allhallows Lace Museum
The Museum is in the centre of Honiton and occupies the chancel of the 13th Century Chapel of Allhallows, a Grade II listed building. Over the centuries it was a chapel of ease for the townspeople, later used as a schoolroom and dining-hall and then on the expansion of Allhallows School it became the School Chapel. Along with the other schoolrooms adjoining the chancel it was purchased 50 years ago by the public subscription to fund the Museum. Allhallows Museum Society works to preserve the heritage of the people of Honiton and its surrounding district by collecting, caring and displaying articles which illustrate how our ancestors lived.
